I work with a great team at WAVY-TV 10 & WVBT FOX43 in Portsmouth, Virginia to uncover stories that deliver the 10 On Your Side brand. I anchor the weekend morning newscast, and report in the field during daily evening newscasts.
Along with a producer, I write and make editorial decisions for WAVY News 10's two-hour weekend morning show. The newscast's second hour ratings grew 27 percent from February 2015 to February 2016. Additionally, as the stations transition to a web-first mentality, I make sure we dominate the weekend market digitally by posting and promoting stories throughout the newscast.
As a reporter, I work to find stories that hold the powerful accountable, expose wrongdoing, and draw attention to unique people and causes in the community. I also function at the station as the fill-in traffic reporter and assignment desk manager, and as the primary substitute for WAVY News 10 Today's weekday anchors.
Before coming to WAVY, I worked for two years as a lead anchor and multimedia journalist at Newswatch 12 in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. I ran morning editorial meetings, trained every new reporter, wrote, shot and edited one or two stories daily, and anchored two evening newscasts.
Outside of the broadcast world, I'm a Boston-qualified marathon runner, traveler and proud honors graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
